Alice Portz has consulted and partnered with CEO’s, Senior
Business Leaders and Human Resource professionals of numerous companies
to design & deliver programs that improve performance of individual
leaders, management teams and accelerate the next generation of
their leaders. She brings over 25 years of business and leadership
development consulting experience. Alice’s efforts are focused
on facilitating customized leadership-development strategies to
accelerate business results. She has extensive experience with feedback
systems and coaching around performance enhancement at the individual,
team, and organizational levels. She has developed a number of leadership-development
programs that incorporate action learning and have produced measurable
results.
Alice has worked with clients in a wide spectrum of industries and
with leaders and teams across the globe. Some current and past clients
include Nike, Avon, Cemex, Old Castle Materials, Novartis, Premera
Blue Cross and Group Health Cooperative. She has worked with a variety
of technology companies including: Concur Technologies, Sun Microsystems,
sharebuilder.com, onlineshoes .com and drugstore.com. Alice has
also worked extensively in Financial Services including Bank of
America, Citi, XL Capital, Safeco and Allstate.
Alice is a
faculty member with The University of Nevada at Reno and a consultant
with their Collaborative Leadership Center. The center provides
training, facilitation, mediation, and consultative services for
the leadership of public and private organizations, both for profit
and nonprofit. She is the past Chair for the Institute for Management
Studies—Northwest Region. The Institute is an executive
development organization bringing authors and world-renowned business
leaders to conduct seminars and workshops in 26 cities worldwide.
Alice recently
wrote an article on “Developing Global Leaders Through Action
Learning” and was published in the 2008 Pfeiffer Annual
on Leadership Development.
Alice has
a BS in Health Sciences and a MS in Human Resource Development
from National Louis University. She also did post graduate work
in business and has an Executive Certificate in Business Strategy
for the Development Professional from Northwestern University.
